Introduction — Digital Library of Amateur Radio & Communications (DLARC) is a project of the Internet Archive. DLARC is growing to be a massive online library of the past and present of ham radio and related communications — including shortwave listening, pirate radio, amateur television, numbers stations, low-power FM, and networked communications.
DLARC is funded by a significant grant from Amateur Radio Digital Communications. You can see what we have so far at https://archive.org/details/dlarc
Launched in late 2022, today the library offers more than 120,000 items, including amateur radio newsletters from around the world, podcasts and radio shows about radio, magazines, manuals and catalogs, archives of radio conferences, and more.
Tax-deductible cash donations can be made at https://archive.org/donate/?origin=jssm-dlarc
General Items Sought — To fill this library we need:
• your donations of ham radio books, magazines, newsletters, catalogs, manuals, videotapes, etc. that Internet Archive will digitize
• your permission to include the ham radio content that you have created, such as podcasts, YouTube videos, blogs, etc.
People have contacted DLARC offering a a single item; others have offered file cabinets stuffed with material. Let us know what you have to offer: we will consider everything based on what the library already has and its relevance to radio and communications.
Specific Items Sought — Here's our work-in-progress list of some of the specific items that DLARC is currently seeking to fill gaps in the collection. Some of these are physical items (such as books and magazines), others are digital files (such as audio files or PDF newsletters.)
